I think that this is not only okay, it's a good idea. 

I provide the page numbers on which information concerning relevant
regulations (such as missed examinations, religious holidays, the grading
system, medical excuse slips, and academic misconduct) can be found in the
academic calendar (catalog), and the relevant web addresses for the info
(e.g., www.wlu.ca/~wwwregi/1999-2000/sec_230.htm for academic misconduct, 
for those interested in comparisons). 

Sometimes I go the next step and quote the relevant passages from the
calendar in the course syllabus, or at least verbally during the first
class meeting.
