Given a couple of other posts, let's remember that free speech protects our
right to say/write anything we want. It does not remove the equally
important right for others to take legal action against us if our
statements are injurous and false. I would also add, just because one is
against censorship doesn't meant that we aren't for education and
responsibility. Some of us believe that it is more important to focus on
building responsibility and focusing on community than it is to spend our
time engaging in prevention of misconduct. I much prefer a community where
blowing up/acting out is mitigated by normally responsible communication
and naturally occurring consequences of insults to the community. :)
