The answer is "yes", according to Guttmacher (1973), an old but
authoritative source. Unfortunately, it's not further documented, but
that's to be expected from a book intended for the layperson.

He states: "Perhaps in 5 to 10 per cent of cycles, two eggs are
ovulated, one from each ovary or both from the same one" (p. 30).
