        Why at distance learning? Many of the distance programs provide just as
good of educations as any traditional institution.

        It wasn't an insult, David, it was sarcasm in a similar vein to your own
"correspondance schools" comment.

        And I realize that I don't exactly teach for Harvard, either. But then
again, teaching for a community college _does_ offer the advantage of
being able to focus on teaching alone instead of having to publish or
perish, as is the rule at top schools like Harvard. That _does_ provide a
measure of compensation.
