A student in my Social Issues class is interesting in examining the relationship between violence (and other crimes) and classroom discipline (not necessarily punishment--rather levels and methods of discipline itself). I was able to provide her plenty of resources concerning criminal behavior and violence (CJ psych is one of the areas I teach in), but my background on Educational Psychology is _very_ scanty and out-of-date. If anyone has any cites available (Internet sites are ideal as are journal articles of course) dealing with either the combination of both issues or with classroom discipline itself, pointers would be _greatly_ appreciated. I suspect there were some in the discussion of punishment last week that could have applied as well, but unfortunately as I didn't know this would be coming up, I didn't save them.
