Well, not case studies, but food for thought:
Rosenthal, R. (1994) Science and Ethics in Conducting, Analyzing, and
Reporting Psychological Research. _Psychological Science_ 5, 127-134. He makes
a convincing case that sloppy/poorly designed research is unethical because it
is wasteful and misleading.
And, in the "something different" catregory, rent the movie Ghostbusters
(Bill Murry, Ivan Reitman, and the usual cast). The first 10 minutes includes a
segment on Dr. Vickmann (Murry) conducting ESP research. In two minutes he
violates nearly every ethical principle: mistreating subjects, lying, using
shock inappropriately, coercion, and, trying to get into bed with the female
subject.
