dreaming under anesthesia

what is the skinny of the nature of dreams under anesthesia?
One of my students who underwent an operation said that she dreamt
of  being on a carnival ride that seemed to go round and round
without stopping.
I also heard that people would dream of pebbles that turn into
huge mountains.
