I'm not the best person to be answering this, but that doesn't
generally stop people on this list. =)
I'm guessing the question refers to infants born with blond hair that
later turns darker. I suspect blonde hair goes dark for the same
reason blue eyes in infants turn darker.
Blue eyes lack pigment, and I'm willing to bet the same is true for
blonde hair. Over time, pigment develops in those who are
genetically programmed to have pigment develop. Ta da! Darker hair
and darker eyes.
Anyone really know the answer to this?
