Hey, TIPsters - The "Games2Learn" company is donating 3 cents to the United Nations food bank for each time somebody clicks on the End World Hunger button on their web site between now and the end of Thanksgiving day (November 25). It won't cost you anything. Heres a good deed that'll take less than 30 seconds - c'mon, you can do it! http://www.games2learn.com/Affl/Food.asp =================== If you want to extend this idea another step, make http://www.thehungersite.com/ your home page. You can click on this once per day, to get companies to donate up to 2 1/4 cups of food to the U.N. World food program each time you visit. It's a legitimate program, won't cost you anything but the few seconds it takes to do it, and won't put you on any spam (broadcast e-mail) lists. =================== Here's the part that makes it sort of relevant to the list: I sent the Hunger Site address to my students a couple of weeks ago, and have gotten several thank you's from them. They really like the idea of doing a good deed for free, and it seemed to humanize the faculty-student interaction in a way that didn't blur any boundaries.
