An Offer You Can't Refuse
I would like to make you an offer you can't refuse and
revolutionize
e-publishing at the same time, by giving you an absolute guarantee of
satisfaction. No money back guarantee is necessary here!!
I will use the honor system.... imagine that!
We normally purchase books based upon published reviews, word of
mouth, or by browsing through a book in a bookstore. Then we purchase
it, go home, read it and determine if we are satisfied. It is too late
at that point to return the book or get our money back. I propose we
reverse the order of things, like reversing the order of the universe.
No problem.
Here is the deal, View all of the material in my cooperative
learning
e-book (and the rest of the web site). If you find material you wish to
download and use to improve your teaching, use in your courses, give to
your students or colleagues, or what ever else you may use it for, then
please consider purchasing that material.
I would suggest a price range of $15-20, which is in the range of
commercial publications. Probably a little lower even. If you think the
material is more valuable, say $15,000,000, then send me a check or
money order for $15 million or whatever you think it is worth. No
pennies please.

For those who missed the address the first time or deleted it or forgot
to bookmark the site here it is again. I have made a number of changes
already. This thing is like a biomass. It continues to grow and in good
Darwinian fashion it keeps evolving.

In the for what it is worth column my rationale follows:
1. Getting a book published is very time consuming and difficult, if at
all possible, thus limiting what can be made available to everyone.
2. Finding someone willing to publish one's book is very difficult and
publishers often limit the quantity and prescribe the format of what one
presents.
3. I am not presenting this material as a research work or academic book
but as an information resource, thus the format and content can be
presented in a more informal manner. Plus I can add my little quips and
jokes and be as irreverent as I wish.
4. I hope that people will be more encouraged to use the materials in
the book if they can see them in their entirety first, without being
asked to spend money on a promise.
5. Access to my ebook is made much easier through my web site.
What do you think of this idea??? (Do I really want to know??!!)

Ted
