I do not know of a Psych of religion listserv. There is an excellent
listserv on Science and Religion called META, and I append the
information about it below.
There is a fine web page on psychology and religion constructed and
ably maintained by Michael Nielsen of Georgia Southern University at:
http://www.psywww.com/psyrelig/
There is a new feature of this site: a message board. Though not a
listserv, it may do what you want.

Subject: Meta 129: Four New Lists replace the original Meta

Meta 129. 1999/07/26. Approximately 1009 words.
This is a general announcement about some important changes in the Meta
List on Science and Religion. Four new lists will replace the original
Meta List:
1) <Metaviews>: High-quality, low frequency, edited listserv publishing
commentaries and bookreviews.
2) <Metanews>: Announcements of events and opportunities, as needed, and
mostly unedited.
3) <Reiterations>: A higher-volume discussion list with light moderation
and browser interface.
4) <Metamonthly>: A monthly digest of Meta with links to full stories which
appeared that month.
The Meta List on Science and Religion is now running with an improved
web-interface on LSoft Listserv, a high-powered listserv familiar to many
in academics. The user interface is greatly improved with browser access
to archives and other options. Check it out at <http://www.meta-list.org>.
We're under construction, but soon you'll be able to customize your
subscription options on our web page.
<Metaviews> is the successor to the original <Metalist>. The announcements
of events and opportunities have been spun off to a separate listserv
called <Metanews>. As of 19 July 1999, all subscriptions to the Metalist
have been transferred to these two new lists. Please update your filters
and address-books accordingly. The complete addresses are
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
In addition, we are offering a higher-volume, lightly moderated discussion
list with a daily posting limit of seven. The title of this list is
<reiterations>, which means "to say or do again", as in "repeat". The term
is used technically to describe the repetitive function in fractal
equations, biological feedback loops, and other chaotic and complex
systems. Hopefully, the new list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> will be an
exciting exchange of ideas, whose sometime chaotic edge will also be a
place of creativity and insight. If seven messages per day scare you, then
know that you can use a web-interface to read and submit email messages and
need not subscribe in order to participate. I'll do my best to keep up
with the many wonderful contributions to Meta and provide limited filtering
and editing.
Finally, in October or perhaps sooner, I hope to be able to also offer a
monthly digest of Meta postings. The brief synopses of book reviews,
announcements, and commentaries will include links directly to the full
text articles.
<Metamonthly> will have to be contingent on how much extra work all of this
turns out to be. I am but one person with laptop in tow, which brings me
to the question of much needed financial support to help us grow, evolve,
and progress. Over $600 in small contributions were received when I last
asked for your help on 1 January 1999. These funds have helped extend our
reach through targeted advertising. Meta now numbers 1535 subscribers.
Please consider making a small contribution to help fund our continued
expansion and growth with improved content, diverse perspectives,
authoritative sources, and improved technology. Send your contributions to
"PCRS: Meta Fund, 3741 Walnut St. Box 429, Philadelphia PA 19104".
Contributions generally range from $100 to as low as $5. Even your small
contributions are greatly appreciated for symbolic as well as material
support. And if you contribute over $50 to the PCRS-Meta Fund, you will
receive a color print of the "Cosmogenesis" graphic on our webpage suitable
for framing.
On our web page, you will notice a search portal for Amazon.com. By buying
your books and CDs through this search portal, you will benefit Meta with a
5 percent kickback and no added cost for you. I estimate that 5 percent of
the annual collective book purchases of subscribers to Meta would be more
than enough to fund the entire service. So set your bookmark to
<http://www.meta-list.org> and make your regular purchase through us.
Thanks in advance.
We are also looking for paid sponsors and advertisers for web-banners ads
and email-header ads. Perhaps your organization would like to promote a
big conference or your publisher would like to promote your book. Perhaps
you just want to sell a product or service to this erudite audience, or
make a charitable gift to a worthy endeavor. In which case, please contact
me at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and we'll work out the details.
I have gone back to January of this year and a great wealth of material to
the <reiterations> list. You'll find contributions from Nitin Trasi, Gary
Schouborg, Hugo Blasdel, Stan Tenen, Mel Schriver, and many more. Indeed,
it will take me a few days to put the backlog out there on the web for your
perusal. So we are building on several months of un-posted material. The
best way to view <reiterations> is to read it on our webpage at
<http://www.meta-list.org>. Please note that you are not currently
subscribed to the <reiterations> list.
Please note that we had a lot of trouble setting up the new listserv
system, so thank you for your patience should there be any further
technical snafus.
We stand at a threshold in the cultural evolution of our species and the
natural history of our planet. Humans are an event in evolution of
geological proportions. Our values and our know-how are literally
reinventing nature and ourselves. The dialogue between science and
religion, between nature and culture, between the "is" and the "ought",
between the transcendent and the incarnational, touches on all aspects of
our lives and wanders through every academic discipline. The conversation
at this crossroads is engaging and exciting; the consequences are of epic
proportions.
The subscribers and contributors to Meta make this all possible. Meta is a
virtuous circle in which the quality of thought and the vitality of diverse
perspectives promote ever more quality and vitality. Without these
reiterations in your interest and your contributions, this somewhat chaotic
and certainly creative sharing wouldn't happen. I hope that I have been of
some service to you in filtering, introducing, formatting, and facilitating
this listserver. I am pleased to present these further improvements to you
at this time. This work has been a great blessing in my life. A greater
truth and spirit is expressed in, through, and between us. Thank you for
your support.
Be well,
Billy Grassie
