An unsurprising result. But they seem to be basing their opinion on
admirably orthodox science, no less. Check out:

Harris, W. (1999). A randomized, controlled trial of the effects of
remote, intercessory prayer on outcomes in patients admitted to
the coronary care unit. Archives of Internal Medicine, 159, 2273--

[conveniently available on-line at www.archinternmed.com
Go to past issues, then Oct. 25/99]

This is a tough one. It has all the attributes of a good paper, even
if the result is inconvenient for science. They seem to be playing by
our rules at last (and winning).
