A student asked me about something called "motor-neuron disorder" and
looked quite surprised when I said I had never heard this term before.
She said that Sarah Ferguson was an honorary chairperson (or something
like this) of a foundation for the study of this "disorder." My guess
was that this was not a particular disorder but a class of disorders all
of which involve degeneration of motor pathways. Is this a term that is
often used? If it is, does anyone know which disorders would be
classified as "motor-neuron disorders"?

Thank yo,

Jeff
