We've been discussing routes of drug administration recently in my
Physiological Psychology course and one student claims to have received
regular (3 times a day) ip injections of heparin for some sort of blood
disorder. I was unaware that heparin was administered ip. After consulting
an out-dated edition of Goodman & Gilman's I only found references to 'deep'
subcutaneous and iv (both intermittent and continuous) injections.

Is heparin also administered ip?

Thanks for your assistance.

Cheers,

Rob Flint
