Al Cone pointed out that I forgot to include the source of the "tenderness
in education" quote. It was from "The Moral Equlvalent of War". This was a
speech James delivered at Stanford Univ in 1906 (It is included in several
James readings books and other historical readings books but I discovered
it is also located at the site Stephen Black gave us earlier today- as is
the whole essay/speech). Excellent site. Thanks again to Stephen!
