I agree. A colleague in our English Department commented that he
couldn't follow the logic of the piece, and asked me what I thought.
(He seems to be one of the few still connected with the real world)

I said:

Not much. Seems to be post-modern gender feminist babble. And she has
_two_ books coming out on the topic!

Nevertheless, I see that ultimately she turns out to be opposed to
plagiarism, and even approves of flunking students for it. Apparently,
all she wants to do is to call it something else, certainly a
reasonable request. Euphemism works so well in making problems go
away. As for following the logic of the piece, I think your mistake is
in thinking it has some. I hope we hear from one of the dissident
feminists like Christina Sommers on the topic.
