Well, no one took me up on my offer, but I thought I'd give everyone some
insight based on my experiences from my training session with the
Blackboard trainer today.

Overall, CourseInfo seems to work. It isn't perfect and has some problems
with formatting, especially when trying to add in graphics. Although you
can upload word/powerpoint/etc files to the website, students have to have
the right program or viewer to see them. (so basically, to maintain
formatting and to ensure cross-platform support, PDF files are still a good
way to go.) You can do a lot with it pretty quickly, but there is little
that it does which can not be done in other ways. In fact, there are easier
ways to do some things. There are suppose to be some additions and fixes in
a new version due out this summer (v5), but what all it will entail is
still to be seen.

I didn't get to stay for the entire training session today (house was
robbed), so there's still some features like on-line assessment I need to
play with some to figure everything out.

PS- a note on the robbery at my home: strange how they left all those
classic books on stats and psychometrics untouched... :)
