Check out Readings in Introversion/Extroversion by Eysenck.  Introverts tend
to be more easily awakened.  Neuroticism, however, is associated with a
stronger degree of easy wakening. Subsequent research published in
Personality and Individual Differences has shown that Introverts tend to be
morning people.  However, a general factor of morningness/eveningness
accounts for more of the variance.
