this was a joke made up by a congresswomen who admitted, immediately after
telling it, that it was fabricated. That didn't stop a number of media
outlets from reporting it as the truth. The rest are accurate but, as a
professional public speaker myself (I speak in front of two classes a day),
I know that I wouldn't want the full transcript of my remarks made public. I
am grateful that the perceptual systems of my students filter most of the
garbage and focus on the overall meaning.
