A couple of years ago, thanks to a Tipster who directed me to her, I
communicated with Zeigarnik's granddaughter. She was quite surprised that
the Zeigarnik Effect was cited in so many history of psychology texts, and
any psychologist was interested in her grandmother. She told me that after
Bluma returned to Russia, then the USSR, she was a respected practicing
clinical psychologist. So, it may be stretching things a bit to say that
she "was an important woman in Gestalt Psychology."
