Hi TIPSters! One of our faculty committees is considering increasing the allocation that is available to our faculty for research and other professional activities. Currently, faculty at our private, 4-year liberal arts college can apply for up to $1000 a year to use in research costs and other professional travel, etc. The committee wants to know: 1. What (if anything) do comparable institutions do? 2. How much do other institutions offer their faculty by way of "in-house" faculty scholarship funds? 3. Is any $ available for student research or research fellowships? If so, what is the size of the typical award? Thanks!
