Assistant Professor ,  Psychology

Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a tenure-track
assistant professor position in psychology to commence in Fall, 2001.

We seek a broadly trained experimentalist interested in teaching
undergraduate students and involving these students in research. Area is
open, with applications welcome from candidates in any one of the following
specialties: sensation, perception, learning, cognition, cognitive
neuroscience, and clinical-developmental. We are interested in candidates
with a general background in psychology and demonstrated teaching
excellence.

Although the Ph.D. is preferred, applicants who are within months of
completing the doctorate will be considered. Familiarity with information
technology is highly desirable. Courses include Elementary Psychology and an
advanced laboratory course focusing on the candidate's area of emphasis.

A letter of application, current CV, statement of teaching philosophy and
names and telephone numbers of 3 references should be sent to Associate Vice
