Texts:
Frazier, Kendrick, Ed. (1986). Science confronts the paranormal. Prometheus
Books: Buffalo, NY.
Hines, Terrence (1988). Pseudoscience and the paranormal: A
critical
examination of the evidence. Prometheus Books: Buffalo, NY.
Pope, Harrison (1997).
Psychology Astray. Upton Books: Boca Raton, FL.

I've also asked the book store to
make these two books available. They are
not required.
Frazier, Kendrick, Ed. (1981). Paranormal borderlands of science.
Prometheus
Books: Buffalo, NY.
Gardner, Martin (1989). Science: Good, bad and bogus. Prometheus
Books:
Buffalo, NY

One more time: The interests of psychology are in skeptical open-minded
inquiry, in the rigor of the scientific method -- not in the agenda of the
Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal --
more appropriate would be the Committee Against the Scientific Investigation
of Claims of the Paranormal. For fun how about some nonCSICOP reading --
Gardner Murphy's The Challenge of Psychical Research, or something by Irv
Child or Gertrude Schmeidler or Richard Broughton -- or Jung, Adler, or . .
.
