The Psychology Department of SUNY Oswego is
recruiting for two tenure-track positions for Fall, 2001. These assistant professor appointments are pending budgetary approval. 1) Developmental Psychology/Human Development. Specialization is open but ability to
teach applied methods is desirable. 2) Cognitive Psychology with specialization in language. Ability to teach statistics and
research methods is desirable. For both positions, hiring preference will be given to applicants who will have earned a Ph.D. degree by
Fall, 2001, although outstanding ABD candidates will be considered. Applicant evaluation will center on commitment to and demonstrated excellence
in teaching undergraduate courses as well as evidence of a
quality research program.
Review of completed applications will begin December 15, 2000 and will continue until the positions are filled. Send letter of application, CV, graduate transcripts, three letters
of reference and any other evidence of teaching and research excellence

State University of New York at Oswego, Oswego, NY 13126. The Psychology Department has two B.A. programs in
psychology and human development with a total major enrollment of over
400 students. In addition, the department contributes to the
college's interdisciplinary programs in gerontology (graduate certificate),
cognitive science, and linguistics. The Psychology faculty has been successful
in acquiring major research grants, supporting a departmental honors
program, and in sponsoring undergraduates in the achievement of
