I did not mean to imply that the election events were not related to
psychology. In fact, I agree with many of the posts pointing out issues of
ballot design, test standardization, etc. as well as integrating current
events into our lectures. However, I also feel that some of the posts
strayed from this approach into the realm of political discussion and would
have continued more in that direction if nothing was said. Although I enjoy
discussing politics, I don't think this is the place to do it... at least
not until the break between semesters when overall list volume tends to
drop...

PS- Advice to students: Do not become involved in a major project (thesis,
dissertation, etc.) during an election year if you are prone to
procrastination... too many distractions... but, you will develope a better
understanding of US politics to avoid actually doing what you need to do...
