Two questions here:
1) Does music, classical or otherwise, soothe the fetus?
2) Does a baby, exposed to classical or other music as a fetus,
become soothed when exposed to the same music after birth?
For l), never having been pregnant, for which I give thanks, I can
only speculate.

Dear Tipsters and Stephen,
I was rather saddened to see such a blatant example of repressed and denied womb envy coming from such an otherwise self-aware individual. Stephen, I can assure you, fetal movement is a lovely thing to experience, and I understand the depths of your despair at your inability to bear a child. I also understand why this anxiety is so threatening and cannot be directly experienced.
sotto voce:
[I wonder whether your recent focus on Pooh bear has some symbolic significance.... Bear with his head stuck in a hunny pot, brown bear, bear a child, bare body, bare your soul...]
It would be most helpful if you would just lie down on this couch and tell us freely, without any attempt at censoring, what comes to mind when you think of Winnie the Pooh.
