On my website http://home.att.net/~Jessica-Percodani there are many helpful resources for teaching found under the headings "once you're in graduate school" and "after graduate school". If you click on the individual "teaching" sites, many of them have a specific link for teaching "large classes" and offer good guidelines. I hope this helps.

Subject: large classes

Hello Tipsters,

I'm teaching an intro class with 150 students next semester.  I've taught classes with 90 students before and I'm
trying to prep for the increased size.  Does anyone have any suggestions for such things as attendance?  assignments?
special problems to address?  suggestions for teaching mode?   I know many of you teach classes of this size all the
time and I would appreciate your advice.  Thanks in advance.  Diana
