Hi Tipsters,
I'm on a technology task force at our college, and our charge is
to examine how the world of higher education is changing as a result of
technology and how we should position ourselves in terms of technological
use. As a first step, we're attempting to examine how each department on
campus uses technology in the service of teaching. Of course, that's the
easy part. I know how the members of our department use technology, but I
would also like to know how others are using technology in their
psychology departments. Thus, I would greatly appreciate it if you would
share with me how individuals in your department use technology
(e.g. statistics packages, web-pages as part of assignments for classes,
etc). In addition, if your department partners with outside sources
(e.g. partner with the local teaching hospital so that students can go
over to the hospital to look at various scan for a neuro class), I would
be interested in knowing that as well. You can respond directly to my
email address, and I'll summarize the responses and post the
summary. Thanks in advance!
