The link with Alzheimer's may be a myth. On the other hand, I think that
it's well documented that Aluminum has neurotoxic properities. I don't know
about studies of Aluminum in drinking water specifically, but I wouldn't say
it's a non-problem without some good evidence. When you're talking to
students be careful that you don't overstate the case and say that aluminum
is OK. The only reason that Aluminum cookware isn't a terrible risk is that
the surface gets coated with a layer of aluminum oxides that protect us.
