About three weeks ago TIPSter Beth Benoit alerted us to a special on
Discovery Health Channel called, "Is It a Boy or a Girl." This sounded like
something I would really want to see; unfortunately my local cable company
does not offer Discovery Health Channel. So I checked out the website at
discover.com and followed links to get the TV schedules, hoping that the
special would also be on the Discovery Channel, which I _do_ get. No luck.
Then I sent an inquiry to the e-mail address provided, and I have finally
gotten a reply. I am sharing it with TIPS in case there are others who would
like to see the special but don't have access to Discovery Health Channel.
According to "Rachelle" in Viewer Relations at Discovery Networks, the
special will be telecast on the Discovery Channel on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001 at
10 PM (E/P). She says that the program is not available on video for rental
or purchase.
Would any of you who saw the program earlier this month on the Discovery
Health Channel like to share your reactions? Is the material presented from a
scholarly, scientific perspective?
