I have used two different cases in my social teaching. One is an
article from Psych Today (Nov, 1986) by Gibson, Janice T. and Mika
Haritos-Fatouros. "The Education Of A Torturer." They use principles
of conformity, persuasion, and dissonance to explain the success of a
training program for torturers.

I have also used an article on the Jonestown mass suicide (reprinted
in the reader for Aronson's "Social Animal").
