Of course, looking at the Bible to support science and looking at science
to support the religion runs into three problems. First, is given the
fallibilty of the Bible. Second, given the lack of original texts and the
myriad of subsequent oft contradictory translations and rearranging of the
content, which Bible are we talking about. And finally, looking at
Scripture through the lens of contemporary Christian(s) principles skews
Scripture. Don't I remember some people named Ptolemy, de Cusa,
Mirandola, Copernicus, Bruno, Kepler, Galileo?

Why don't we just give unto Scripture that which is Scripture: God
made.... And give unto Science that which is science: that is what God
made. It's when "clerics" think they are scientists and scientists think
they are "clerics" that all hell breaks out. I think Newton and Einstein
are wonderful examples of balance when Newton said, "God is a
mathimatican." and Einstein said, "God does not play dice with the
universe."

Make it a good day.
