Dr. James Nairne of Purdue University, renowned cognitive psychologist and author of Psychology, The Adaptive Mind, will present the keynote address titled Myths of Memory.
Submissions are accepted for papers and posters in any area of psychology. Presentations may have faculty coauthors, but the first author must have been an Undergraduate at the time the work was conducted. This year we ask that you submit your abstracts (600 characters or less, approx 100 words) via our on-line poster and paper submission form at the conference web page.
Abstracts are due Friday April 6, 2001.
We ask that all persons wishing to attend the conference fill out the on-line conference registration form. Preregistration will allow us to get an accurate count so that we can provide adequate parking, seating and food. The cost of the conference will be $8.00 and will include conference program, breakfast, and lunch. Fees will be paid in person at registration in the form of cash or checks made out to Penn State. Our conference web site has additional information about the conference, including a schedule of events, maps to Erie, maps of Behrend campus, additional information on the keynote speaker, the conference registration form and the paper or poster submission form. We also have links to helpful information about professional presentations, including creating good visual aids and creating good poster presentations. Please note that this year poster presenters will be asked to pre-mat their posters on the standard trifold presentation boards available at most campus book stores and office supply stores such as office max. These boards measure 3 X 5 and will stand on tables during the sessions. Additional details are on the website.
