I am passing this information on with my whole-hearted endorsement.
Being involved with ISETA as a member of the Board of Directors, I
strongly recommend your participation. It's a neat bunch of learners.
We are looking for interactive presentations rather than formal papers.
Make it a good day.

For the past several years I have been involved with the International
Society for Exploring Teaching Alternatives (ISETA). The mission of ISETA is
to encourage college and university faculty and practitioners from all
disciplines to study and apply the principles of teaching, learning, and
assessment of learning in innovative ways to develop and implement
practical, effective alternatives to the traditional text-lecture-test
method of instruction.
The annual ISETA conferences offer a friendly, informal, and highly
interactive gathering of professionals dedicated to the profession and
scholarship of teaching and learning. The rich representation of disciplines
from traditional liberal arts and sciences, engineering and the applied
sciences, and a diverse set of professional schools give us all new insights
to achieving common goals of improving teaching and learning. I have found
that the ISETA conferences provide an ideal professional forum for those who
have something to share, and the interactive nature of the presentations
truly make learners and teachers of us all.
May I invite you to submit a proposal for the 31st Annual Meeting of the
International Society for Exploring Teaching Alternatives (ISETA) to be
held this coming October in Indianapolis on the campus of Purdue
University. The proposal process requires but a 2-page abstract of your
idea(s), and all proposals are subject to a double-blind review process.
The deadline for proposals is rapidly approaching, March 31st of this
year. Details regarding the proposal submission process may be found that
the ISETA web site, http://www.iseta.org .
I have truly found the annual ISETA conferences to a an enriching
professional experience, and sincerely hope that you will be able to join us
the coming October in Indianapolis. If I can answer any questions that you
may have or assist you in developing your proposal, please feel free to
e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
Warmly, Bruce
