I had complained about suddenly finding myself with a
subscription I never ordered, to an organization that even a
Canadian recognizes as somewhat different from, say, the Canadian
Liberal Party.

I dunno. They all sound like reasonable policies to me. All
that's missing is one making the teaching of evolution a crime.
(Note to the humour-impaired. The above was a _joke_. I repeat,
a _joke_!!!!)
Actually, I agree with Linda that my guess that it might have
been my surfing that was responsible is unlikely. I now think it
more probable that it was just a bulk mailing in which my address
somehow was included. There are enough other spammers out there
who seem to have my address, so why not David Duke? But if
anyone else gets the same e-mail, I think a note to the abuse
service of your local provider is the way to go. The more
complaints, the more likely there'll be some action. And even
though it's a bit of bother to forward spam to abuse, it always
gives me a strange satisfaction.
