One criticism of relativistic views and simultaneously a
challenge that some of its proponents recognize is the danger of
internal contradiction. Although they propound that science is
no better a way of knowing than non-science, that reason is no
better than other ways of knowing, and the like, relativists
engage in both science and reason to defend their position.
Presumably they believe that they are doing it well (or at least
well enough to meet minimal rhetorical standards), but unhappily
they are as wrong about the quality of their own work as about so
many other things.
Best wishes
Jim
