Hello Colleagues,
I just signed up to be on
the TIPS list last Thursday. It seems I joined during an interesting
time for a sample of the discussions I will find here. I have been
following the discussion on "Moral Relativity and a Swan Song" and have found
the discussion colored with personality overtones most interesting. I look
forward to having some meaningful and supportive conversations with those of you
who are still on the list.
I teach full-time at
Shasta College in Redding. Redding is in Northern California about 50
miles from the sacred Mount Shasta. It was 100 degrees here
yesterday. Shasta College is a two-year community college with
approximately 12,000 students. I am one of two full-time psychology
instructors and as of June I will be the only full-time instructor. We
also employ 5 adjunct instructors. We will be hiring a new full-time
instructor next year. I currently teach General Psychology, Understanding
Human Behavior (an applied course), and Social Psychology. Next fall, for
the first time, I will also teach Cross-Cultural Psychology and an Internet
section of Social Psychology.
How about some
introductions so I can get to know some of you.
