I use a "chanting sexual terms" exercise I found in one of the instructors manuals (I don't remember which). I point out to students that we don't use slang in my class (not because I'm offended but because it is inaccurate and often sexist and we need to practice use the correct terminology). So I have the students tell me some some words that describe sexual acts, female genitalia and male genitalia. Then I have the whole class chant the terms (like a sing along tone: viginia, vulva, testicals and coitus). You get the picture I'm sure!  Then I have the male students chant the female terms and visa versa.  It is a great ice breaker.  I do tell the students to play along with me, and they usually do.

Hello Tipsters, I am searching for a great "beginning day" activity for my human sexuality class.  I have a little survey of myths I foundbut wondered if others teaching this course might have a more creative or fun activity.  As always, I appreciate yourhelp.  Thanks.  Diana J. Kyle, M.A.
