Hello TIPS,
I am trying to find a copy of a 1993 PBS program titled, "Prisoners of
Science." PBS is not distributing it anymore and Video Finders does not
have it on its list. The video is about the controversial use of
facilitated communication with autistic children.
Actually what I need is any good article or video that shows the
controversy of a particular form of psychotherapy. I want this to
encourage social psychology students to think critically about how
illusory correlation, belief perseverance, and overconfidence can enter
in to clinical diagnosis.
I will be teaching the class both in the classroom and online. For the
online students it would be much more convenient to have a written news
article.
