Based onmy 21+ years of experience teaching, I believe it, i.e., that less than half graduate. If you add in the % who never get jobs related to their major because of low GPAs, poor skills, etc. the number of college bound people who realize their plans should be very sobering. I only wish that these facts made a dent in some of the first year student's attitudes their education.
