Subject: RE: Richard Dawkins on Suicide Bombings

On the other side, perhaps, what about the Japanese who "willingly" flew
suicide missions during WWII?
------------------------------

Also, what of the fact that there are many religions that believe in an
afterlife not represented on the list of suicide bombers? If belief in an
afterlife is the crucial element, wouldn't you expect to see a number of
Christian terrorist suicide bombers? The IRA and abortion clinic bombers are
usually some distance away when their bombs go off. It seems that, in
addition to believing in an afterlife, you must also believe that killing
other people is going to make you worthy of great rewards in that afterlife.
And that narrows down the religious ideologies to a very few (not even
including the great majority of Muslims).
