I have a student who has chosen to replicate the experiment testing how one characteristic (warm vs cold, supports nuclear testing vs does not support . . ) given in a description of a person changes the participant's assessment of that person. Now, the problem she is having is that the source book she got the idea for the experiment out of gives the reference of Asch (1946) and calls this the halo effect and primacy effect. She is having a problem finding any research on this. Does anyone know of another term we should be using? Or a different researcher? I know this has been replicated many times . Thanks in advance.
