I've been playing this game on my iPhone lately that's kinda fun, but today it occurred to me that maybe the game could be a unique demonstration of the concept of figure and ground perception. The game is called "Shift" and I have a link below to a review of the game that I found on YouTube (so you don't have to actually have an iPhone or iPod touch in order to see the game).

As you'll see if you watch the video, you start the game as a small black figure and you have to go from place to place walking on black floors and jumping onto black blocks. After a while, however, you can't go any further and in order to continue you have to rotate the game so that you are now a white figure walking on white floors and jumping on white blocks. The game requires you to re-think your whole surroundings. It's pretty cool. You have to see it. Here's the link to the YouTube video - I'm curious what others think about this game:
