If she wants to go to law school, that's not exactly a poke in the eye. 
If she's committed to psychology, she should take her GREs again, score 
higher, and apply again next year (indeed, there's nothing really to 
prevent her from going to law school AND applying to psychology again). 
I didn't get into grad school my first year either. One can recover.
