Carol: I had a set of audio cassette demo tapes from Lincoln Labs (at MIT)
way back when before I retired that contained such a phenomenon. I learned
recently that the whole box of cassettes was tossed about a year ago. There
was a tape I had of the old Vokey & Read material on so-called backmasking
in there, too. Anyway, maybe someone at MIT could do some digging and find
some things on what you're describing. Good luck. David
