British rocker wannabe Sting was on NPR and was asked by a caller why so many
punk and other loud groups emanate from England. He replied that the weather is
so bad-cloudy.foggy.rainy,and gloomy-that one can hardly see who is ahead or
around that one has to shout out loud. I am curious if these factors
contributed to the Beatles' Twist and shout. Personally I prefer the Twist and
shout version done by Rodney Dangerfield in Back to school.
Honestly ,as the only mobile disc jockey on Tips,I do not think thiat British
dude Sting can sing.
Why is he singing with a Philharmonic orchestra? I feel the same way about
Celine Dion.
But Bruce Cockburn,Buffy Ste.Marie.Oscar Peterson.and Gordon Lightfoot,right
on.eh?
