When I was a graduate student at U. Toronto, there was a professor named Colin M. MacLeod (now at U. Waterloo) who was a specialist on the Stroop Effect. He said that there was an Australian professor, also named Colin M. MacLeod, who was also a specialist on the Stroop Effect. "My" MacLeod went on to suggest that the two of them should write a paper together, adding a footnote to the effect that the order of the authors' names should not be taken to indicate any authorial priority. I don't know if they ever did it.
