I am trying to find a reference to a study that was mentioned in the past CRM
films in the 80s.One group of subjects was given bowls of shelled peanuts and
the other group was given bowls of peanuts without the shells. The results were
that subjects ate more peanuts
when they did not have to break the shells.Subjects ate less when they had to
work to break the shells. This was probably related to the psychology of eating
and a dude by the name of Valentin comes to mind.
