Thanks Annette! We seem to forget that EVERY generation of middle aged folk seems to think that adolescents are somehow "worse" in terms of personality, ethics, awareness etc. I think that Baby Boomers (who as a group are incredibly over-romantic and rose-colored glasses about their teens and twenties) are particularly prone to this. Boomer narcissism makes me want to puke.
But we are much more like the younger folk than we think we are. Except for a few superficial differences, it's all the same decade to decade. BTW I can't remember life without email and cell phones either.
