Some years ago (decades, actually), I remember having a conversation with a
social psychology professor regarding the importance of verbal and nonverbal
affirmation during dyadic conversations. Smiling, nodding, raising brows, and
so on. I can NOT remember what those important little behaviors are called, but
he specifically referred to them by name (not body language and not nonverbal
communication). Do any of you know what they are called? It’s been bugging me
for years and I’ve tried all sorts of combinations for Google searches. It took
me a while to realize that I have an even better resource in TIPS.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Carol
